Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using FamilyHQ, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms or the Privacy Policy, do not use the Service.

Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use FamilyHQ. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 13 years of age or older.

Using FamilyHQ

When you use FamilyHQ, you agree to:

Provide accurate and truthful information about yourself
Keep your login credentials and PIN secure
Use the service lawfully and responsibly
Respect the privacy and consent of other family members
Not upload or share harmful, illegal, or abusive content
Not share personal information about third parties unless you have a lawful basis to do so
Be aware that family data is shared within your family group

Data and Privacy

FamilyHQ collects and processes personal data to provide our services. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on the types of data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

  • •We may process account data, family content, calendar events, tasks, chores, expenses, family feed posts, messages, and media attachments.
  • •We may process sensitive data only with your explicit consent, including medical information and emergency contact details.
  • •The Family Vault is encrypted on-device with AES-GCM and we cannot read your vault contents.
  • •Family Circle and trusted contact features may store data about other family members and third-party service providers; you are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to share that information.

Subscriptions & Payments

FamilyHQ may offer free and premium subscription tiers processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  • •Family Plan: £4.99/month — premium family management features.
  • •Multi-Family: £2.99/month — join and manage multiple families.
  • •All payments are handled by Apple or Google. We do not store your payment card details.
  • •Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • •Refunds are subject to the App Store or Google Play refund policies.
  • •We may change subscription pricing with reasonable notice to you.

Community Content & AI

FamilyHQ includes community features that let you share content with other users and families. We also use AI-assisted moderation to keep the community safe.

  • •You are responsible for the content you post, including public community recipes, emergency scenarios, and chore packs.
  • •Community content is moderated by Google Gemini and may be removed if it violates our policies.
  • •Compass AI is provided for informational purposes only and is not medical, legal, or financial advice.

Prohibited Activities

You may not use FamilyHQ to:

Harass, bully, or harm other users
Share illegal, offensive, or abusive content
Attempt to hack, exploit, or compromise the service
Impersonate others, create fake accounts, or misuse account access
Upload malware, phishing links, or any content designed to harm others
Use the service for unlawful purposes or to violate applicable regulations
Collect, scrape, or extract data from the service without permission
Bypass security controls, reverse engineer, or tamper with the app

Intellectual Property

FamilyHQ and all of its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the content you post, but by sharing it on FamilyHQ you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and provide the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in harmful behavior. We may also remove content that violates our policies.

You may delete your account at any time through the app. Deleting your account will remove your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, but content shared with families may remain visible to other family members unless the family itself is deleted.

Disclaimers & Liability

FamilyHQ is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your expectations in every situation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of FamilyHQ after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
